TXID: track a crypto transaction

Safe2transact lets you track crypto deposits and withdrawals on the blockchain using a built-in View on blockchain link in the transaction details.

Important: Once a crypto transaction is sent to the blockchain, it cannot be reverted or reversed.

What is a TXID?

A TXID (also called Transaction Hash) is a unique identifier created when a transaction is broadcast to a blockchain network. It works like a tracking number that lets you view the transaction publicly on a block explorer.

When you will see a TXID in Safe2Transact?

  • You will typically see a TXID for:
    • Deposits;
    • Withdrawals.
  • You may not see a TXID for:
    • Buy / Sell / Swap (these are trading operations and usually don’t have one single on-chain transaction hash to display).

Where to find your TXID in Safe2transact?

  • Go to Last transactions table;
  • Find the transaction you want to check;
  • Press on blockchain link.

If your transaction is still Scheduled or In progress, the TXID may not be available yet—check again after a short time.

Block explorers used

If you ever need to verify which explorer is used, here are the recommended explorers:

  • Bitcoin (BTC): Blockstream Block Explorer
  • Ethereum (ETH + ERC-20 tokens like USDC): https://etherscan.io
  • Cardano (ADA): https://cardanoscan.io
  • Ripple (XRP Ledger): XRPL Explorer
  • Solana (SOL): Solana (SOL) Blockchain Explorer
  • Multi-chain (if unsure): https://blockchair.com or Blockscan.

What to check on the explorer?

When the explorer opens, confirm:

  • Confirmations:
    • Confirmations increasing = transaction is progressing normally.
    • 0 confirmations for a long time can happen when the network is congested.
  • Destination address:
    • Make sure the receiving address matches the one you intended.
  • Amount and network fee:
    • Verify the transferred amount and the network fee shown by the blockchain.

If the explorer shows “Not found”

This usually means:

  • the transaction hasn’t been broadcast yet (so no TXID exists), or
  • you’re looking on the wrong network’s explorer.

In most cases, reopening View on blockchain from Safe2transact after a short time resolves it.
