Updating citizenship or passport
You can upload a new passport or national ID card at any time—whether your previous one has expired or your citizenship has changed—directly within the Account section in your Safe2transact wallet. Please note that uploading a new passport will require you to complete the IDV (Identity Verification) process again.
If your citizenship has changed—meaning your country of citizenship is different—a full KYC (Know Your Customer) check will also be required to verify and update your information in accordance with regulatory requirements.
How to update:
- Go to the Account section.
- Open the Personal Information subsection.
- Click Edit next to the citizenship field.
- Enter your new citizenship (if required).
- After submitting the change, complete the ID verification process to finalise and confirm the update.
- If prompted, complete the KYC check.
