Suspicious activities
Phishing
Phishing is a fraudulent attempt by cybercriminals to obtain sensitive information such as passwords, 2FA codes, or personal data by impersonating trusted organizations.
These scams can occur through email, SMS, social media, or fake websites designed to look legitimate.
Email: attackers often send fake emails that appear to come from trusted companies like Safe2transact. Always verify the sender and website address before interacting.
Fake websites: fraudulent sites often mimic real ones but may include subtle differences in the URLs. These sites are designed to steal your login credentials or personal information.
Tip: Bookmark official Safe2transact pages in your browser to avoid mistyping URLs or visiting fraudulent sites.
SMS: phishing can also occur via text messages. If you receive an SMS claiming that you’ve received digital currency you didn’t authorize — and it includes a suspicious link — do not click it. Safe2transact does not send text messages to verify transactions.
Scams
Scammers may impersonate legitimate companies — including Safe2transact — as well as regulatory bodies, government agencies, or even law enforcement.
They often pose as employees and attempt to pressure you into moving your funds or sharing sensitive information.
Safe2transact Customer Support agents will never:
- Ask for your password or 2FA code.
- Ask you to secure, move, or access your funds.
- Call or text you to provide a new wallet address for moving your funds.
- Ask you to install software on your device.
- Ask you to contact an unknown number to reach us.
Help protect yourself:
Never share personal or confidential information with unknown callers. Scammers can spoof legitimate phone numbers to appear authentic.
Only contact Safe2transact using the verified email listed on our official Safe2transact website.
Never send cryptocurrency to external addresses on behalf of alleged support agents. Safe2transact staff will never request that you do so.
Enable 2FA for login and transactions. Hardware security keys provide the best protection.
Lock first, ask later. If something feels suspicious, immediately lock your account in your Safe2transact wallet or email our Customer Support at support@safe2transact.com for help.
