ID Verification: step by step

Once your account is created, follow the steps below to complete your onboarding and identity verification process.

1. Start your onboarding journey

  • Log in to your Safe2transact account.
  • Click Start your onboarding journey.
  • Select the appropriate registration type: Individual or Legal entity (company/organization).

2. Begin the identification procedure

  • Use your mobile phone to scan the QR code displayed on the screen.
  • This will redirect you to our trusted identity verification provider — GBG Group PLC.

3. Identity verification via GBG

  • Scan your national ID card or passport using your mobile phone camera, following the instructions on the screen.
  • Take a selfie to verify liveness and confirm your identity matches the document provided.

4. Manual data entry (if needed)

  • When on the ID card/passport screen, if certain details cannot be automatically read from your document (for example, Document issuing authority or Document issue date), enter the missing information manually in the designated fields.
  • When on Proof of address screen, fill in the required information and upload your supporting proof of address documentation (e.g., utility bill, bank statement, or government-issued letter).

5. Confirm and agree

Before completing the process, you must confirm that:

  • The information you provided is true, accurate, and complete.
  • You agree to be contacted by Safe2transact representatives by email or phone if clarification is needed.
  • You consent to your information being shared with a third-party provider (GBG Group PLC) solely for identity verification purposes.
  • You have read and understood the Safe2transact Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and Terms & Conditions.
  • You confirm that you are the beneficial owner of the account and that you are not a Politically Exposed Person (PEP).

6. Completion

Once all steps are completed and verified, your identity verification process is successfully completed. You can now proceed to KYC questionnaire.
